The Skiff Sailing Association (SSA) offers structured, competency-based programs that chart a clear course from a sailor’s first experience on the water to competing at the highest international level. Each stage reflects our motto —
“A Wave in the Right Direction” — as sailors and coaches progress step by step.

1. Introductory Sailing

Designed for children (8–16 years) and beginners

Focus on fun, water safety, and basic seamanship

Goal: Confidence on the water and a love for sailing

2. Foundation Pathway

500 sailors trained in recreational and club-level sailing

Level 1 instructors developed at the grassroots

Goal: Build India’s widest base of entry-level sailors and coaches

3. Development Pathway

200 sailors progress into competitive racing

Focus on racing skills, technical skills, tactical awareness

Racing instructors trained to coach at district/state levels

Goal: Create India’s first generation of racing sailors and coaches

4. Elite Squad Program

50 sailors trained in 3 elite squad levels (10 | 15 | 25 athletes)

Supported by world-class coaches & mentors

Goal: Win World Championship medals and prepare for Olympic success

5. Coach Development Program

Multi-level coach education & certification
